Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party had returned once again for the 2023 holiday season and we went in on the first night to check it all out.

This separately ticketed event runs on select nights from November 9th to December 22nd, 2023, and features special snacks, entertainment, characters, free snacks, and more. It all sounds like a great time, but is this event really worth the price tag?
What Does It Cost?
Tickets to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party range in cost depending on which night you choose to attend. This year, they’re anywhere from $159 to $199 per person. We usually see the cheaper prices in November, while the more expensive tickets are closer to Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Keep in mind, tickets for this event ranged from $99 to $139 in 2019, and $149-$199 in 2022, so the price has drastically increased over the past few years. As Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party technically runs from 7PM to midnight (though guests can get in starting at 4PM), that’s a lot to pay for just 5 hours of party time. Can there really be enough exclusive experiences to make this event worth it?
What Does It Offer?
Disney World parties feature TONS of exclusive snacks, fireworks, shows, parades, characters, experiences, and more. Tickets are limited, meaning that even on sold-out nights you can expect shorter wait times and fewer crowds.

There are free cookies, hot drinks, and souvenirs to take home with you, as well as all the food and drink that you’ll only find during the party (yes, we did try them all!).

There’s also plenty of entertainment including:
- A Frozen Holiday Surprise
- Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration stage show
- Mickey’s Once Upon A Christmastime Parade
- Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks Show
- A Totally Tomorrowland Christmas
- Meet and greet opportunities with Disney Characters
Is It Worth It?
At the end of the day, only you can decide if Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is worth it for you and your travel party. Tickets are expensive — but there are lots of exclusive perks and experiences you can’t get anywhere else. Keep in mind too that what’s best for everyone else might not be best for you!

If you ask us, one of the best parts about separately-ticketed events in Disney World is the lower wait times, and this year was no different. We kept track of wait times throughout the night of the sold-out first party this year, and for the majority of the night rides never had waits longer than an hour.

Since you can get into Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at 4PM (with a valid ticket), you have a better chance of being able to knock out your favorite rides and check out the exclusive party entertainment, which could make the event worth it for you. There’s really only one way to find out, so consider giving Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party a try if you think you might like it!

Have you been to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party? Let us know in the comments!
We attended Nov 13th and had fun, very little wait time on the four rides we love. The Nutcracker Ornament we were given as we came into the park was lovely. The cookies given out at the Cookie and Drink stations were delicious. Now the negatives, other than Main Street/Castle it wasn’t decorated much for the Holidays. The early parade was drab, boring actually and even the kids around us were disappointed. No crowd control before or after the parade. Didn’t see a single Cast Member. We have attended, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party on and off for almost 30 years. The expense keeps going up and up but the magic is going down, down.
