CONFIRMED: Everything Coming to This Year’s Oogie Boogie Bash

Oogie Boogie Bash is right around the corner, and we couldn’t be more thrilled!

Treat Trail at Oogie Boogie Bash

This is one of our favorite times of year at Disneyland Resort, and we know a lot of you feel the same way. If you’re heading to the event this year, or at least planning to, you need to know that there is SO much to experience. Disney hasn’t revealed all that’s returning this year, but here’s EVERYTHING we know will be at Oogie Boogie Bash this year!

This year, Oogie Boogie Bash takes place on select nights from August 17th through October 31st and runs from 6-11 PM each night (however, your party ticket allows you to get in as early as 3 PM!). Tickets go on sale for Inspire Magic Key holders on June 24th, for Believe, Enchant, and Imagine Key holders on June 25th, and to the general public on June 26th. Tickets will be released at approximately 8:45 AM PT on each of those three days, and prices start at $139 per person.

Trick or Treating

Trick or treating on the Treat Trails will return to this year’s party! Prepare to get handfuls of M&M’S®, SKITTLES®, SNICKERS®, and other favorites as you travel through the trails, which will be home to Halloween music, and more thrilling — the Disney Villains themselves!

Mother Gothel

This is a fantastic way to see and interact with some truly rare Villains that we sometimes only get to see at Halloween time each year. You can go through these Treat Trails as many times as you’d like, so if you’re planning to get as much candy as you can, bring a larger bag with you!

Entertainment

Select attractions in Disney California Adventure are open during this event for your enjoyment! The full list of open attractions hasn’t been revealed yet, but we do know the following rides will have Halloween overlays:

  • Mater’s Graveyard JamBOOree
  • Luigi’s Honkin’ Haul-O-Ween
  • Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark

The Frightfully Fun Parade will also be returning this year, featuring characters like Ichabod Crane, the Headless Horseman, Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse in their Halloween attire, Jack Skellington, Haunted Mansion dancers and grave diggers, and Disney Villains. Be sure to check your party map so you know when it’s happening each night, and if you want a good spot, settle in somewhere at least half an hour before showtime!

Frightfully Fun Parade

Villains Grove at Redwood Creek Challenge Trail will also be returning this year! Disney Villains have passed through before you and turned this trail into a spooky, mystical realm. Explore areas like:

  • Frollo’s Sanctuary
  • Maleficent’s Will
  • Queen of Hearts Garden
  • Scar’s Elephant Graveyard
  • Dr. Facilier’s Friends on the Other Side
  • The Wicked Queen’s Lightning Forest
  • Home of the Wisps
  • Dawn
Villain’s Grove (2023)

If you’re hoping to get photos to commemorate your night, all your Disney PhotoPass photos from the night are included with your party ticket! While separately priced Disney PhotoPass packages and products are excluded, most people don’t choose to do those during the party. This means that your ride photos, character photos, and photos from any PhotoPass photographers you visit are free to download.

Character Meet and Greets

We’re still waiting on a full list of character meet and greet experiences, but stay tuned to AllEars for the full list when we have it!

Add-On Experiences

If you’re looking to make your Oogie Boogie Night even more special, you can add on the Oogie Boogie Bash Dessert Party presented by Citizen! For an additional cost (and reservations for this experience are opening soon), you’ll get preferred seating for the Frightfully Fun Parade, plus unlimited Halloween-themed desserts, alcoholic beverages for those 21+, unlimited soft drinks and bottled water, plus coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and a mocktail.

Mickey and Minnie in the Frightfully Fun Parade

You can also book a Oogie Boogie Bash VIP Tour, which gets you park hopper and event admission for your party of up to 8 guests. You’ll also get expedited entry to Villains Grove and select treat trails, private VIP tours character greetings, reserved seating for the Frightfully Fun Parade with complimentary beverages and sweet/savory treats, an exclusive VIP Tours Oogie Boogie Bash amenity, and complimentary valet parking at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. Again, reservations for this will open soon!

  1. I would love to go this year but tickets are to expensive for what we are getting. Ever since they moved it to DCA it lost alot. My granddaughter who will be 13 this October would choose to go every year for her birthday but this year she said no she prefers Disney instead. So this year she would rather go to Universal or even Sea World. This broke my heart because it has been tradition to take her every year for her birthday. Now that has ended for us. Maybe if they let both parks do Halloween we would go again.
