Pull up a chair and grab a snack because it’s time to talk about Disney food!

Peppermint and gingerbread have officially taken over Disney World with tons of holiday treats around the parks and hotels. Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party has also kicked off with its own list of exclusive snacks! We tried a BUNCH of them so now it’s time to review them — let’s go!
Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies
In Tomorrowland at Auntie Gravity’s, you can pick up the Reindeer Chow Sundae and the Lumps of Coal in Your Stocking Milkshake. We grabbed the sundae here which is made with chocolate soft-serve, pretzels, cereal, M&M’s chocolate candies, and hot fudge.

This sundae is EVERYTHING. We truly loved how chocolatey it was. If you ever worry about not having enough hot fudge on your ice cream, don’t worry about that here. There was plenty. The cereal was covered in chocolate, peanut butter, and powdered sugar (if you’re familiar with puppy chow or Muddy Buddies, it’s that)! The cereal mixed with the pretzels gave it a nice crunch and a hint of salty sweetness.

Our only complaints were that it melted quickly and it was a little small for its $7.79 price tag. But we would definitely recommend it to chocolate lovers. If you’re not a chocolate lover then you might want to try the Candy Cane Tart instead!
This one is available during the party AND during regular park hours, so anyone can grab it!

Casey’s Corner
Casey’s Corner is home to the new Candy Cane Tart! It’s a chocolate tart filled with peppermint ganache and topped with festive meringue. You can grab it for $5.79.

We have only one thing we need to say– Girl Scouts Thin Mint cookies. If you love those delicious thin cookies, then you’ll certainly enjoy this tart. You don’t get the peppermint smell until you cut into it, but then it’s definitely there mixed with the chocolate in the mousse and crust. The whipped topping has sprinkles of sugar which add a bit of crunch. If you don’t like peppermint, you should pass on this dessert because that’s a whole lot of what you’re going to get!
It’s only available during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.

Cool Ship
This unsuspecting snack stand holds the adorable Magic Holiday Tree! The party-exclusive dessert has coconut, pecans, and M&M’s chocolate candies on a graham cracker crust.

If you’re looking for a holiday treat that’s not chocolate or peppermint, then this might be for you. While this isn’t our favorite snack of the night, it is very good. The strongest flavor we tasted in this tree was coconut. There is a graham cracker crust on the bottom, but it’s almost nonexistent.

It is super chewy and surprisingly subtly sweet. So if you want something that doesn’t feel like it’s going to rot your teeth, this might be your go-to.
Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe
Several new items have debuted at Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe!
We started with the Holiday Pot Roast Melt. One of the few savory options, it is made with slow-cooked beef on thick toast with cheddar and provolone cheese and beef gravy.Â

The Pot Roast Melt literally melts in your mouth. It’s so savory and juicy. It’s like they took the roast home to put in their crock pot, it was that good. The cheese was really good and the bread was perfect. Overall, this sandwich was so comforting, a perfect holiday dinner.

Next up is another hearty menu item — it’s the Holiday Turkey Burger which is a turkey burger topped with traditional stuffing, provolone cheese, and cranberry chutney on a brioche bun.

This burger is a MONSTER; there was so much going on. This was pretty much a holiday meal on a burger– stuffing, turkey, and cranberry sauce. There were apples in the cranberry chutney which added a nice bit of crunch to the other soft toppings. We really enjoyed this sandwich which would easily fill anyone.

Are you in for a sugar rush? That’s what you’ll get if you eat the Christmas Cookie Cake. This is basically a holiday cake roll except the cake is cookie cake! The official description says it’s a Christmas cookie cake roll with buttercream and topped with holiday sprinkles.

We were SO impressed by this cake. The icing is more like a buttercream icing and the cake itself was incredibly moist and soft. It tasted like the best sugar cookie you could think of. We were really happy with its high-quality flavors.
All of these menu items are party-exclusive!

Friar’s Nook
Friar’s Nook has several holiday options on the menu during the Christmas Party!

We’ve had some delicious hand pies and loaded tots at Friar’s Nook, so we’re glad it played to its strengths here! First up is the Holiday Ham Fried Pie. The hand pie is a flaky pastry filled with baked ham, candied sweet potatoes, and spiced pecans served with pineapple glaze.

We were a little torn about this ham pie. The combination of ham and pineapple made it surprisingly really sweet. If you’re a ham and pineapple fan, you’ll probably enjoy this. However, we found the more we ate it, the less we liked it. But if you really like sweet and savory flavor combos, then you might really like it!
Remember the tots we mentioned earlier? This year’s holiday version is the Italian Beef Tots which are tots covered in slow-cooked beef, cheese curds, zesty giardiniera, and pot roast gravy.Â

For as much as we weren’t fans of the ham pie, we felt quite the opposite about these tots! These were so good. The tots were perfectly golden and crispy while the beef was very tender and savory–and there was a lot of it! This tot meal is a bit spicy though due to some peppers beings in the giardiniera (which also added a bit of a tang). And you can’t go wrong with adding some cheese curds on top.

There are a few desserts here, too! We grabbed the Peppermint Snowman, a chocolate brownie topped with cookies ‘n cream peppermint mousse.

We LOVED this adorable snowman! It’s mint and chocolate, which in our opinion might be the perfect combo. If we could say this tasted like anything it would be Andes mints. It’s exactly that same creamy chocolate and minty flavor as a brownie and mousse form. The brownie was soft and rich and the mousse was creamy and tasted like whipped Oreos. If we could rank this, we would give it a 10/10.

The last snack at this spot is the Winter Milk Shake. This isn’t your typical milkshake — it’s a creamy coconut milkshake topped with whipped cream, toasted coconut, cinnamon, and crisp pearls.

Aside from the small paper straw that came with this, which just wasn’t enough for this thick milkshake, we also really loved this treat. The coconut flavor was definitely there but in a light, creamy way. The crispy pearls and coconut shavings added some fun texture as they mixed with the drink.

These items are new this year and available only during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.

Golden Oak Outpost
Heading over to Frontierland, Golden Oak Outpost has a couple of sweets including the Orange Gingerbread Shake! This one is an orange cream slushy layered with gingerbread cookie crumbles and topped with whipped cream, and gingerbread spice.

Okay, we have to be honest about this shake, it is definitely not making any of our top snacks in Disney World lists any time soon. We just weren’t a fan. It was smooth and creamy which was nice, but the orange flavor just didn’t seem to hit the mark they were aiming for. If you really like orange flavor or orange tictacs, then you should give it a try! Maybe you’ll enjoy it more than we did.
We also tried the Gingerbread Cake layered with cream cheese frosting and dulce de leche ganache topped with a gingerbread man chocolate piece.

This made up for the lacking orange shake! It was so light, fluffy, and moist. And it had cream cheese frosting that was thick but yet creamy. The spice in the gingerbread flavor was a nice addition. The dulce de leche is subtle, but there and very good and sweet. Plus, you get the white chocolate gingerbread man on top!

Want to try these? You’ll need a ticket to the party.

Main Street Bakery
The iconic Minnie Cinnamon Roll is back at Main Street Bakery, but you can also try the new Letter To Santa treat! This is a flourless chocolate cake with hot cocoa mousse, and marshmallows topped with chocolate pieces.

We REALLY liked this dessert! It’s a well-formed chocolate mousse that has sugar, icing, and white chocolate pieces for the ‘candy cane’ and mailbox flap. It’s almost too cute to eat, but you should definitely eat it because it is so good.

The marshmallow in the center is a little chewy but not in a bad way. It added some good flavor to the mousse. The dessert is a little messy if you try to pick it up, but we can get over that. If you enjoy a chocolate treat then go pick this one up for $5.49!
The cinnamon roll is there all day, but you’ll need a party ticket to try this recent addition to Main Street.

Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn & Cafe
Pecos Bill has several party-exclusive items. Of them, we chose to taste the Chocolate Eggnog Reindeer which was $6.99!

The treat consists of a chocolate tart topped with eggnog mousse and chocolate antlers. And we’re going to start off by saying that if you don’t like eggnog, this treat isn’t for you. However, we really enjoyed it! The tart is thick and rich chocolate which paired so well with the light, fluffy, eggnog mousse on top. We noticed the chocolate is more for people who prefer darker and somewhat bitter cocoa; it’s not super sweet.Â

Sleepy Hollow RefreshmentsÂ
Sleepy Hollow is one of our favorite places to grab a snack in all of Magic Kingdom which is why we were looking forward to trying the Holiday Waffle Sundae! You’ll have a house-made red velvet waffle topped with M&M’s chocolate candies, peppermint ice cream, and hot fudge. Are you drooling yet?

We thought this might be the best deal for a snack at the party for $7.79. It is very large, taking up the entire plate. It’s a very dark red velvet cake with a good chocolate flavor. The ice cream that comes on top melts quickly since the waffle is served warm, but the mint flavor of the ice cream compliments the chocolate waffle well. We really enjoyed this soft waffle snack. And it could easily be shared!
But wait — there’s more! We also snagged the Milk and Cookies for Santa dessert which is brown sugar cookie cake topped with chocolate chip cookie dough mousse, milk mousse, and chocolate chip cookies.Â

This single-serve treat is like eating a grown-up version of raw cookie dough. While the cookies on top are just regular cookies, everything below them is anything but average. The milk mousse really does taste like milk which is fun with the other layers. The cake has a really light texture and the brown sugar flavor is the best part of the whole snack.

These two snacks are for partygoers only.

Storybook Treats
Switching it up from the red and green is the Sugar Plum Sundae! This unique treat is sugar plum soft-serve atop sugar cookie crumbs and topped with whipped cream, crisp pearls, and cotton candy.

The Sugar Plum Sundae had a nice fruity, slightly sweet sugar plum soft serve. Apparently, it used to have more of a spice flavor but they toned it down this year based on feedback from guests. We noticed warm hints of winter spices when we tried it. The sauce on top is cherry which added a tart sweetness that went really well with the dessert. The cotton candy melted very quickly but we did love the sugar cookie on the bottom which was a more dense chewy cookie, but we thought it added a fun crumbly texture.

You won’t be able to buy this one unless you have a ticket for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.

Sunshine Tree Terrace
At Sunshine Tree Terrace, let’s start with the treat that is available during regular park hours as well — it’s the Cranberry Citrus Float with Orange-Vanilla Soft-serve Twist!Â

This is a fun take on the floats that they have here as it is an orange-vanilla soft-serve twist with Sprite Winter Spiced Cranberry and fruity boba pearls.

We were a little disappointed by this dessert. We were expecting a much brighter cranberry flavor, but it seemed to be lacking. If you love normal citrus swirls, then you’ll still really enjoy this, just be ready to not have a lot of cranberry with it. The float is $6.29
On the other hand, Santa’s Belt Buckle is a party exclusive and is made with pistachio mousse with a dark chocolate truffle center and a chocolate buckle.

It might seem weird to eat Santa’s belt buckle, but we recommend it! This was incredible. It was so light and airy, with a great pistachio flavor. It wasn’t too sweet and the chocolate in the center was the perfect amount. They literally made everything in this dessert perfectly. We wouldn’t change a thing.
Outdoor Vending Locations Near Cinderella Castle
The Hot Cocoa Churro is a treat for everyone since it is available during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and regular park hours. The churro is rolled in hot cocoa powder and topped with marshmallows and peppermint candy pieces.

This was one of the best churros we’ve had in Disney World. It has a strong peppermint flavor but the marshmallow drizzle over it was a great addition (plus it wouldn’t be hot cocoa without them). The mini marshmallows on top were just an added bonus of fun! Other than the churro itself being a tad dry and hard, we would definitely get it again for $7.

There you have it! If you’re attending Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party this year, we highly recommend going in with a game plan with it comes to snacks. There are a LOT of them!
