NEWS: 4 Mini Restaurants Are Coming to Downtown Disney

It’s safe to say that there has been a recent WHIRLWIND of Disneyland news.

From ticket price increases, to Genie+ price increases, to menu item price changes, there have been a lot of updates. Now, though, we’ve gotten some news regarding Downtown Disney, and don’t worry — there are no extra costs involved — just some new additions!

Parkside Market is well underway at Downtown Disney, which is an all-new area that will highlight “diverse culinary concepts brought to life by Levy.” Four new offerings will be available — all under the same roof!

Seoul Sister is a fast-casual eatery that will serve a Korean-forward menu based on Korean rice bowls — all with a local twist. Executive Chef Kelly Kim will whip up a menu of bold, traditional flavors from Korea.

Sip and Sonder is the second option, created by Amanda-Jane Thomas and Shanita Nicholas. This black woman-owned brand has actually been recognized as one of the BEST cafes in LA by the Los Angeles Times. Here, you’ll find lattes, fresh treats, frozen drinks, and even some Caribbean-inspired bites.

GG’s Chicken Shop is up next, which is from Boka Restaurant Group and was founded by James Beard Award-winners Rob Katz and Kevin Boehm and Michelin Star Chef Partner Lee Wolen. This family-friendly restaurant will serve chicken sandwiches, salads, and classic sides.

What’s even BETTER is that a second-story bar will be added so that folks can grab a bevi inspired by local ingredients and enjoy the views of the area. There will also be a new stage and lawn for special events, activities, musical entertainment, and more!

There are plenty of other plans in the works, too. In the future, Disney hopes to bring in Din Tai Fung, a world-renowned restaurant famous for its soup dumplings and noodles. Plus, we can look forward to Mexican cuisine at Paseo and Centrico, and then California-Cuban cheese rolls and pastries from Porto’s Bakery and Cafe.
