Hollywood Studios Is Having a ROUGH Day in Disney World

No matter how much you plan, unexpected problems can arise during your trip to Disney World.

Transportation issues, weather-related attraction delays, and ride closures are all things that can come without warning. Sometimes these are temporary inconveniences, but occasionally they can last for a large portion of the day! Unfortunately, Disney’s Hollywood Studios is having some trouble with some of its major attractions today.

We headed to Hollywood Studios first thing this morning, hoping to get on Tower of Terror, but sadly it was closed! Cast Members confirmed that it was having technical difficulties and that they were working on it, but that there were no guarantees that it would reopen today.

We’ve noticed that this attraction has been having some difficulties lately. Earlier this month, only one of the two shafts was operational, so Cast Members had to close the ride to new guests while the line got more manageable. That’s not something you see every day!

Unfortunately, Tower of Terror isn’t the only ride struggling today. Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith has been down all morning as well.

When we talked to a Cast Member, they also shared that they were actively trying to get it back up but that they weren’t certain it would reopen today.

Then, around noon, these two rides still weren’t up — but then Slinky Dog Dash went down as well!

You never know when these unforeseen difficulties might pop up during your trip, so it’s important to be prepared for them. Make sure you have the My Disney Experience app downloaded so you can keep an eye on the wait times — you’ll be able to see there when the ride gets back up and running!
