We Ran Into an Unexpected Disney World Transportation Problem

There are so many moving parts in Disney World that something is bound to go wrong.

That’s why we see attractions breaking down all of the time, technical issues that cause problems with Genie+ and dining reservations, and transportation close for a multitude of reasons. Speaking of transportation, we recently ran into an issue while trying to get to Magic Kingdom that we want to warn you about.

The Monorail goes down from time to time, and in the afternoon of June 25th, it was closed for technical issues. Usually, buses will be available to take guests from the Transportation and Ticket Center to Magic Kingdom to alleviate some of the crowds that form when the Monorail closes. However, that was not the case.

We talked to several Cast Members who confirmed that they were not running any buses — the Ferryboat was the only option to get to Magic Kingdom.

With summer crowds coming full force to Disney World, you may be waiting longer for transportation if this happens on your trip. Just be patient and prepare your mind for problems like this ahead of your vacation — things happen! The more go-with-the-flow you can be, the better.
