8 New Things Coming to Disney World in September

Summer is coming to a close in Disney World, which means it’s time to get hyped for the FALL!

Fall is coming!

Autumn brings Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, pumpkin-flavored snacks, and lots of spooky season merchandise. But on top of that, there are quite a few NEW things coming to the parks in September! Let’s break down the full list.

Things That Are CONFIRMED for September

We’re starting out with the things that are confirmed to be arriving in September 2023 at Disney World, but the kicker is that ALL of these offerings are going to be in EPCOT!

Spaceship Earth

First up, there are four new booths coming to the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival on September 22nd. They’re specifically offered as part of the Disney100 celebration, and the names of the booths are as follows:

  • Char & Chop
  • Wine & Wedge
  • Bubbles & Brine
  • Swirled Showcase

Also on September 22nd, EPCOT is getting several new additions for the 100th Anniversary of the Walt Disney Company. There will be a new platinum Mickey Mouse statue available for photo ops, a new meet and greet with Mickey and Minnie at the Imagination Pavilion (in their Disney100 outfits!), and a new Spaceship Earth light show at night.

Also, the Disney100 Mickey Premium Popcorn Bucket will be available only at EPCOT during these celebrations, so make sure to pick one up! We saw this bucket previously at Disneyland, but now it’s coming to the west coast.

That’s everything that’s CONFIRMED for September, but let’s talk about some of the possibilities.

Things That MAY Arrive in September

Besides the things that have specific September start dates, there are several new offerings slated for “fall” in general, that could possibly arrive in September.

Cinderella Castle

First of all, Mirabel from Encanto is getting a meet-and-greet in Magic Kingdom at Fairytale Garden. The space was previously home to a Merida meet, but that spot closed earlier in the summer to be transformed into an Encanto-themed area. It’s set to reopen with the new meet and greet this fall.

Back to EPCOT again, several BIG changes are set to happen this fall! Journey of Water — Inspired by Moana has a fall opening timeline. We’ve already seen some major progress with the construction on this attraction and we can’t wait to check it out.

It looks like it’s almost ready to open!

Along with the opening of Journey of Water, the EPCOT transformation is supposed to be completed in fall 2023. This means that the middle of the park, CommuniCore Plaza, and CommuniCore Hall should open up as well.
