Come With Us To Experience Universal’s New Ride — Villain-Con Minion Blast!

We’ve been so excited to see all that Universal Orlando’s new Minion Land will bring to the park.

We got to check out the almost-completed new land in the middle of June, as well as try EVERYTHING at Minion Cafe, and walked through some of the new stores you can shop at. But there’s a whole new ride coming to this area of the park, and we got to RIDE IT TODAY!

Illumination’s Villain-Con Minion Blast is the new ride coming to Minion Land. This ride combines immersive sets, interactive game-based technology, custom animation, and an original storyline to create a unique kind of blaster attraction.

When you enter the ride, you’re immediately transported into Villain-Con, the largest convention for villains in the world, where the headlining event is seeing who has what it takes to become the newest villain of the Vicious 6.

In the outdoor queue, you’ll start to pass by some signs that advertise different gadgets that villains can use to better pull off their heists.

In the indoor queue, you’ll travel through the trade show floor, which is stocked with the latest gadgets, vehicles, and fashion for villains.

You’ll then grab an “E-Liminator X” blaster to battle with your family and friends to see who can use Freeze Rays, Banana Bombs, Explosive Nunchucks, and more to create the most destruction to earn points.

Here’s what’s really unique though — the ride vehicle isn’t a vehicle at all, you’re standing on a moving walkway while you blast away!

We grabbed our blaster, scanned our app, and were ready to get the most points. Let’s hop on the ride!

This entirely free enhancement will allow you to embark on special missions within the attraction, unlock evil perks and extra powerful blasts, and earn digital collectibles.

If you sync your app, it’ll remember your previous scores forever, and the more you score, you can level up! Leveling up means a new challenge from one of the Vicious 6 villains, meaning you can have a different experience every time you ride.
