The debate of Disney World vs. Universal has been going on for years now.

We’ve compared the parks when it comes to adults-only vacations, and we keep up with all the latest news for both parks so you know what to expect on your vacations. But there are some things Universal just seems to do better than Disney. We asked you what those things are, and we got your answers!
We took to Facebook to ask our readers what Universal does better than Disney, and received plenty of comments! Many of you have very strong feelings on this matter, so let’s jump into it.
Express Pass and Skipping the Lines
Express Pass is certainly expensive over at Universal, but it is included in some guests’ hotel stays, and our readers say it’s SO much simpler than using Genie+ in Disney World.

Our readers shared that the higher price is completely worth it to be able to get on most of the rides with no more than a 20-minute wait and only have a few rides not included be heavier wait times. There’s also no scheduling that needs to be done on your phone, which is another thing our readers appreciate.
Price
Universal is also more affordable when it comes to family vacations, according to you all.

Many of our readers mentioned that their on-site hotel stays were so much cheaper than Disney World’s, and the park tickets themselves are much more affordable for the average family to afford. Disney, on the other hand, has continued to price itself so high that many families feel they have to save for years to experience one vacation.
Rider Swap
Many readers also said that they prefer Universal’s Rider Swap!

Rider Swap is used for families that have members who are too short to ride a ride, or who don’t want to ride and cannot wait off the ride by themselves. Universal provides those waiting to swap places with the other guardian/person and the child an air-conditioned room to wait in. Disney, on the other hand, has no waiting area, and families just have to wait outside the ride.
Crowd Control
Many readers also feel that Universal handles its crowds much better than Disney.

Some feel that ride lines move faster, even if their actual wait times rival Disney World’s, and that walking around the park itself feels much less claustrophobic. Is this because of the size of Universal’s walkways? Better building placement? No official reason has been revealed, but for now, readers just know they feel like they have their own space in Universal!
Thrill Rides
Lastly, we have thrill rides, which was another very popular response!

If you’re someone who enjoys thrill rides, you’ll definitely prefer Universal over Disney. That’s because Disney is more of a family-friendly park, including the rides they offer, with a select few that are a bit more intense. Universal on the other hand is the total opposite! With multiple rollercoasters, it’s clear that Universal has Disney beat when it comes to thrill rides.
