Important WARNING Issued About Making Dining Reservations Right Now for Disney World

Update: As of around 4:50PM, we no longer received the error message regarding dining reservations on the My Disney Experience app or Disney World website, and we were able to search for available reservations.

Trying to make a dining reservation for Disney World right now? Be prepared to face some issues.

Disney is no stranger to technical issues. Sometimes these can impact its app, website, or even its rides. And today it seems a core Disney system is experiencing complications that could impact your plans.

Right now, Disney World seems to be experiencing issues with its dining reservations system. When we tried to make a dining reservation using the My Disney Experience app, we were met with a warning message that noted that Disney was “unable to make new dining reservations or Enchanting Extras Collection bookings online or over the phone.”

When we tried searching for a Disney World restaurant online via the Disney World website, we were also met with a message saying that the site was “Down for Maintenance” but would be up and running soon.

We were chatting with a Cast Member about a dining question at the time and that Cast Member also said that it looked like all of Disney’s reservation systems were experiencing “magical enhancements.” They recommended that we check back later for updates.

So if you’re trying to make a dining reservation or Enchanting Extras Collection booking, be aware that this issue could impact your plans. Hopefully, the system will be back up and running soon, but for now, you may need to wait and keep refreshing your app/browsers until things do get fixed.
