Disney just announced some major changes to its nighttime spectacular lineup!
With the 50th anniversary ending on March 31st, 2023, it seems that the 50th anniversary nighttime shows around Disney World are ending as well. We just found out that Harmonious is closing in April, and now we know what will take its place!
On April 3rd, 2023, EPCOT Forever will officially return to EPCOT! This show closed to make way for Harmonious back in 2021, but it is returning for a limited time.
Disney announced that a new EPCOT fireworks show would come to the park at some point in 2023, but details for that have yet to be announced. EPCOT Forever is serving as an interim show while Disney prepares for the new show!
Disney did share that there will be a “phased removal of fireworks platforms” after the last performance of Harmonious on April 2nd. We confirmed with Disney that this means the infamous barges will be removed from World Showcase Lagoon.
Disney Enchantment is also ending on April 2nd in Magic Kingdom where Happily Ever After will take its place.
