Make Your Own BEJEWELED Disney-Inspired Leg Warmers

With the 2023 Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend only a few days away, this quick and easy tutorial is sure to complete your runDisney costume. These leg warmers are inspired not only by the 90s-themed races for this year’s marathon weekend but also by Dopey — Snow White’s gem-obsessed friend. Follow our instructions below to add some shine to your next runDisney race.

In this simple and time-efficient tutorial, runDisney ensures readers that these leg warmers will be a “BLINGIN'” addition to your training regime or race. We have all the information you need to complete this project below.

Get started by gathering these supplies:

Leg warmers
Extra-strength adhesive
Colorful gems
Bottle or other cylindrical item

This DIY is easily customizable, as you can choose the color of the leg warmers and gems to match the rest of your runDisney costume. However, if you wish to keep things in true Dopey fashion, Disney recommends using green leg warmers. We also think purple leg warmers would be great, too!

Slide a bottle into the leg warmers so that you can place your gems more easily! ©runDisney

Once you have your supplies ready, insert your bottle or similarly shaped item into the leg warmers so that the fabric is held in place and you can easily attach the gems.

Apply a bit of adhesive to the backs of the gems, and place the gems on the leg warmers in any pattern you choose.

Be sure to let the adhesive dry overnight so that your gems will stay in place throughout the duration of your run. Once the adhesive has dried, you are ready to run in true 90s fashion! Just slip the leg warmers on over your socks and running shoes.
