PHOTOS: Join Us to Celebrate the Harry Potter: A Yule Ball Celebration

Calling all Harry Potter fans!

Remember the iconic Yule Ball in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire? This Christmas celebration was held in honor of the Triwizard Tournament, the magical contest held between three of Europe’s wizarding schools. And if you’ve ever wanted to attend your own Yule Ball — you might be in luck!

We were able to attend the Harry Potter: A Yule Ball Celebration event held at the Paraiso Maravilla Ballroom in Houston, Texas, where we were transported to Hogwarts at Christmastime!

Tickets for the Yule Ball cost $59 for a standard ticket and $100 for a premium pack, which includes things like a complimentary drink, priority access, and a special gift. Depending on availability and eligibility, you may also be able to get a young adult ticket (ages 12 to 17) for $49 or a premium young adult pack for $90. Guests must be 12 and older to attend.

You can choose from two-hour sessions that vary depending on the day, with more available times on weekends. The event will be located in Houston until January 20th, 2023, but you can also find the Yule Ball in Mexico City, Mexico, Milan, Italy, and Montreal, Canada.

There is no dress code for the event but you can wear your favorite wizard outfit and bring a wand if you like! You can also shop the Yule Ball Market for a selection of items, including wands and robes.

The event includes music, dancing (but you don’t have to dance!), performers, photo ops, and a selection of food and drinks at cost. During our event, we also experienced a champion waltz, a best house dance-off, a fashion parade, and more.

There were a number of food items available at an additional cost, including sweet and savory options.

Guests also had the option to participate in trivia!

The decor itself was beautiful, with nods to Hogwarts, Beauxbatons, and Durmstrang, the three participants in the Triwizard Tournament.

The Goblet of Fire was there too, of course.

Premium ticketholders also received gifts to take home.

If you’re a big Harry Potter fan, this is one of those events you should probably add to your must-do list.
