Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party returned this year for the first time since 2019 — and you know we were there to experience it!

This separately-ticketed event runs on select nights from November 8th to December 22nd, 2022, and features special treats, entertainment, characters, free souvenirs and snacks, and more. All these experiences sound great, but is this event really worth the price tag?
What Does It Cost?
Tickets to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party range in cost depending on which night you choose to attend. This year, they’re anywhere from $149 to $199 per person. We usually see the cheaper end prices in November, while the cost per ticket increases the closer we get to Christmas.

Keep in mind, tickets for this event ranged from $99 to $139 in 2019, making even the cheapest tickets still more expensive than years past. That’s a lot of money to spend on just five hours in the park, as Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party technically runs from 7PM to midnight (though you can get in beginning at 4PM, so it’s really more like eight hours). Can there really be enough exclusive experiences to make this event worth it?
What Does It Offer?
Ain’t no party like a Disney World party ’cause a Disney World party features TONS of exclusive snacks, fireworks, shows, parades, characters, experiences, and more. Tickets are limited, meaning that even on sold-out nights you can expect shorter wait times and fewer crowds.

Not only that, but there are free cookies, hot cocoa, and souvenirs to take home with you. Plus, you can’t forget about all the eats and drinks that you’ll only find during the party (you can read about the best ones here!).

Looking for the party? There’s plenty of entertainment including stage shows featuring your favorite Disney characters, Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks, and more events happening all throughout Magic Kingdom. Trust us, there is PLENTY to do at this after-hours event.
Is It Worth It?
At the end of the day, only you can decide if Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is worth it for you and your travel party. Tickets are expensive — but there are quite a few exclusive perks and experiences you can’t get anywhere else. And, keep in mind that what’s best for everyone else might not be best for you!

If you ask us, one of the best parts about separately-ticketed events in Disney World are the lower wait times, and this year was no different. We kept track of wait times throughout the night of the sold-out first party this year, and for a majority of the night rides never had waits longer than an hour.

Since you can get into Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at 4PM (with a valid ticket), you have a better chance of being able to knock out your favorite rides and check out the exclusive party entertainment, which could make the event worth it for you. There’s really only one way to find out, so consider giving Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party a try if you think you might like it!
