Driving to Disney World Is About to Get More Expensive

This newest price increase to impact your Disney World trip actually has nothing to do with Disney!

Gas prices might be going down nationwide, but not in Florida

We have been monitoring the gas prices in Florida and the price has continued to drop. However, gas prices in Florida are set to see a jump in the near future.

According to local news sources like Click Orlando, in October of this year, a state-wide tax holiday was implemented that lowered the cost of gasoline for drivers. This reduced the cost of gas by 25 cents per gallon, but now that the holiday is expiring, that discount will disappear. So as of November 1st, expect a 25 cent increase in gas per gallon.

Driving to Disney just got more expensive!

A 25-cent jump is pretty steep for many, despite falling gas prices across the country according to AAA. Florida residents will bear the brunt of this change, but if you are planning on visiting Disney World soon it may impact your trip as well.

You might even feel the cost with your rideshare

If you use rideshare apps like Lyft or Uber to get around you might experience higher fees to offset the increase in gas prices. Of course, if you are driving there yourself or renting a car for your trip you’ll have to contend with this at the pump, too.

We’ll continue to keep you updated on the latest gas price news in Florida, so stay tuned.
