On September 28th, Hurricane Ian made landfall in Florida, with the storm impacting Central Florida.

In response to the storm, the theme parks in Orlando (including Disney World and Universal Orlando) closed down on September 28th and 29th, with major flooding still ongoing in the area.
In the wake of Hurricane Ian, Universal Orlando released a statement on the storm, and their plans going forward.

In their statement, they shared that their “thoughts go out to all those impacted by Hurricane Ian”, and that they “stand ready to help [the] community recover.”

Currently, Universal Orlando is closed through today, September 29th, but in their statement, they note to “stay tuned for updates.”

We’ll make sure to update you with any more news or announcements from the theme parks, so stay tuned to AllEars for all of the latest updates.
