Are you ready for this year’s D23 Expo?

We sure are — we’re ready about all the big announcements from the Expo’s panels, as well as seeing all the cool costumes, and seeing the exhibits. Speaking of which, we just got to see one of those exhibits, and we’re sharing our photos with you!
The “Step In Time” exhibit by the Walt Disney Archives features a lot of recognizable props AND costumes from some of your favorite Disney movies and TV shows.
The exhibit starts with an ode to Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, including promotional standees from the film’s European release…

…as well as a Snow White costume that was designed specifically for Rachel Weisz to wear in a photoshoot.

And of course, Disney history wouldn’t be complete without a homage to Disneyland! This particular part of the exhibit features screen-printed versions of the original Disneyland attraction posters.

They’ve also got the very first Disneyland ticket on display — the one that was purchased by Roy O Disney on July 18th, 1955.

Mary Poppins fans will want to check out the costumes and props from the film on display. You can see Mary’s dress — yes, it’s the very one worn by Julie Andrews!

But perhaps one of the biggest draws for the Step in Time exhibit is the Haunted Mansion section! Several artifacts from the ride’s past are available for visitors to view, including original props.

Recognize this spooky painting?

How about the creepy bride? She’s just as terrifying now, even though she hasn’t been in the mansion since 2007.

But that’s not all! There’s also a small section of Star Wars memorabilia, dedicated to Disney’s acquisition of Lucasfilm in 2012. These ARE the droids we’re looking for!

And anyone who grew up on the Disney Channel will want to check out the iconic costumes that Disney put on display. There are some noteworthy designs, including ones worn on Hannah Montana and Wizards of Waverly Place.

Are you gearing up for the launch of the TRON coaster in Magic Kingdom? If so, the TRON display is just for you! Here, we’ve got a re-creation of Flynn’s Arcade from the film.

If you happen to be at the D23 Expo, be sure to stop by the exhibit — it’s a lot of fun seeing the actual costumes and props used in Disney movies and television shows. Also, don’t miss out on seeing Walt Disney’s plane, which has been moved to the West Coast JUST for this event.
