Are you ready for a Disneyland reveal?!

Thanks to the media event at the D23 Expo (which will take place September 9th to 11th), we’ve been getting a sneak peek at some huge Disney reveals — historic exhibits, statues, and attractions. And if you were hoping for new details on the transformation of Mickey’s Toontown in Disneyland Resort, you’ll want to see this!
Mickey’s Toontown in Disneyland has been closed for its huge transformation since March 2022, but minimal details have been released…until now.

Guests of the D23 Expo can FINALLY see some information about the reimagination of this popular land! Of course, we already knew to expect the addition of Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, which we’ve been enjoying over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

And Good Boy! Grocers will also be a new addition to the land! It’s a “friendly roadside stand, offering grab and go drinks and treats.” And, of course, it’s themed after the goodest boy, Pluto.

Hope you’re hungry, because Café Daisy will be serving up diner classics at this “sidewalk table eatery.” It will be replacing 3 previous counter service spots, including Daisy’s Diner.

The El CapiTOON Theater will start the chaos that is Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, by premiering the duo’s newest short, “Perfect Picnic.” Guests will also be able to see an exhibit “created by the Toontown Hysterical Society featuring costumes and props from the Toon world.”

Goofy’s How-To-Play Yard and Donald’s Duck Pond have new elements, all bringing more interactive fun to the land! Goofy’s House will be an interactive “candy kitchen,” where he’s making candy for his friends. And no — the candy will not be real.

Donald’s Duck Pond has huge water lilies, balance beams, and more for those adventurous kiddos.

The water fountain at CenTOONial Park is designed for play, and features Mickey and Minnie. There will be interactive “fountain features and water tables” which will allow guests to interact with the park. And, at night, the fountain will light up!

And those are the new details revealed for the transformation of Mickey’s Toontown in Disneyland! For more D23 Expo reveals, check out the first look at the Tiana attraction replacing Splash Mountain. Or take a look at the huge piece of Disney history you can view at the D23 Expo.
