If you’re traveling through Orlando International Airport this summer, you may want to build some extra buffer time into your plans.
Recently, airline passengers have been navigating a large number of flight delays and cancellations. Orlando International Airport (MCO) has been experiencing a particularly high amount of interruptions. In fact, it was recently ranked as the U.S. airport with the second-highest percentage of flights delayed this summer.
According to the most recent FlightAware data compiled by CNN, the Orlando Airport has continued to have a high percentage of flight delays. The data shows that Orlando International Airport ranks tenth on the list of airports worldwide with the highest percentage of flights delayed this summer.
According to FlightAware, 33.4% of all flights from the Orlando Airport have been delayed this summer, a slight increase from last week’s number of 33%. The most recent data includes flights from May 26th to July 19th.
The Orlando Airport was the only U.S. airport to rank among the top ten for delays worldwide. Here’s the full list:
