Why It Might Be Harder to See Disney World’s Special 4th of July Fireworks

Slowly but surely, normal operations have been returning to the Disney parks.

Traditional character meet and greets recently returned along with character dining, and all Disney World Resort hotels have officially reopened. Special holiday entertainment is returning too, with Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween party coming back to Disney World and Oogie Boogie Bash will happen once again in Disneyland later this fall. Another holiday celebration is rapidly approaching, and it looks like park pass reservations are completely booked because of it!

The 4th of July fireworks are returning to Magic Kingdom this year! Many specialty holiday-themed fireworks shows have been unavailable since the parks shut down due to the global pandemic — and we are so excited that they are coming back.

“Disney’s Celebrate America! — A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky” will be happening on July 3rd and 4th in Magic Kingdom — and it looks like guests are pretty excited about it as park pass reservations are completely booked for theme park ticket holders and select resort guests on July 4th!

As of right now, it also looks like Magic Kingdom reservations are booked for Disney Annual Passholders on July 4th as well. Keep in mind that this is subject to change as guests may cancel their reservations.

Don’t worry yet! If you are set on seeing this special fireworks show, you can still grab park pass reservations for June 3rd. If both dates fill up, you can still see the fireworks from outside the parks — here is a list of the best places to watch fireworks outside of the parks!

We’ll keep an eye on this situation, so be sure to stay tuned to AllEars for updates.
