Disney World Guests Received Push Notification for New Mask Policy Change Today

On the subject of public transportation, Disney is also no longer requiring masks on public transportation. For the first time since the parks reopened, masks are completely optional everywhere in Disney World (except for the First Aid Centers).

Today, some guests at Disney World may have received a push notification on their phone taking them to the My Disney Experience app. This notification led to a page about how things are changing in the parks. This page encouraged people to get vaccinated against COVID-19 and also talked about how things in Disney World are subject to change with no notice.

Disney makes decisions about what happens in the parks based on guidance at the time, so things could always change again. The notification then went on to give information about the top things Disney World guests should know, including information about the Disney Park Pass reservation system, using the My Disney Experience app, and in which situations face masks are recommended.
