NEWS: Tarzan’s Treehouse is Getting A NEW Theme in Disneyland

In case you missed it, Disneyland Resort is in a big state of transformation.

From the redesign of ToonTown in Disneyland to the big Downtown Disney makeover to a new Disney Vacation Club hotel, a lot is changing! And now another piece of classic Disneyland is getting a HUGE change.

The Swiss Family Treehouse opened in Disneyland in 1962, and it was later redesigned as Tarzan’s Treehouse in 1999. The 80-foot tall attraction has been closed for refurbishment since September, and now it looks like it will reopen with a completely different theme.

Tarzan’s Treehouse

According to the Orange County Register, Disneyland officials announced that Tarzan’s Treehouse will be getting a new theme and backstory! The attraction will remain a walkthrough treehouse, but Tarzan will no longer be a part of it. The entrance to the treehouse will begin undergoing demolishment on April 18th.

Disney has not yet shared what the new treehouse theme will be, but we’re already wondering about the possibilities. Not long ago we reported that Lin-Manuel Miranda (songwriter for Encanto) actually pitched a real-life Encanto attraction to Bob Chapek, the Walt Disney Company CEO, and wouldn’t Antonio Madrigal’s treehouse bedroom be a great fit?
