Ever since the pandemic started, we’ve seen lots of changes in the Disney parks, including at the international ones.

The parks in Paris, Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Tokyo have all added special health and safety measures during this unusual time, and some of them have even re-closed after reopening in 2020. Hong Kong Disneyland has been closed recently, but has now set a reopening date!
Previously, the Hong Kong Disneyland website noted that the park would be closed through April 20th, but that language has now been updated to say that the park will reopen on April 21st! Keep in mind that all guests are required to have valid admission and make a park reservation to visit.

According to the website, Magic Access members can begin making reservations on April 14th. The park pass reservation system will open to the public at noon on April 16th. Note that guests are also required to use the “LeaveHomeSafe” app and fulfill the “Vaccine Pass” requirements upon entering the park.

Prior to arrival, guests are required to make a health declaration as part of the Hong Kong Disneyland park reservation process. Then, to enter the park, guests will need to scan the “LeaveHomeSafe” venue QR code using the “LeaveHomeSafe” mobile app upon entering select locations. Additionally, guests must participate in the temperature screening procedures upon arrival and wear a mask at all times during their visit.

Disney stated that guests should carry their COVID-19 vaccination record or Medical Exemption Certificate at all times so that they can verify their information when necessary.

As part of Disney’s ongoing health and safety precautions, Hong Kong Disneyland will implement park capacity restrictions, so if you’re planning to visit the park, be sure to make a park pass reservation first.

Disney also shared that several Disney characters are returning for the grand reopening, including Woody and Bo Peep, Buzz Lightyear, Jessie, and Judy and Nick from Zootopia!

For all the reopening information you need to know, make sure to check the Hong Kong Disneyland website before your visit. We’ll keep monitoring the reopening and sharing any updates!
