You don’t plan to travel all the way to Disney World to catch a cold, but it can happen! Let’s be honest; with people from all over the world coming together in one crowded place, there’s bound to be some new germs and bacteria lurking around.

Of course, no one wants to think about getting sick on vacation, but in the unfortunate event that something happens, you might need a doctor. What do you do?
In the event that you or a family member gets sick or injured on vacation, you can (obviously) leave Disney World and visit a local Urgent Care or nearby Emergency Room. For those that don’t want to leave Disney World, a new service called Doctor2me can come to your aid instead.

Doctor2me is now offering a doctor “house call service,” that will send a doctor to your hotel in or around Disneyland and Disney World. The service includes a team of doctors that are on-call 24/7, and patients are able to request a specific type of doctor based on their needs.

Guests can schedule an appointment at Doctor2me.com, and a few of the services offered include X-Rays, prescriptions, and labs.

During the visit, Doctor2me doctors come directly to your hotel room. According to the website, “appointments are reimbursable through many insurance plans and patients should check with their insurance providers to verify coverage.”

Keep in mind that for small cuts and minor issues, guests can visit a First Aid Center in the Disney parks. For more serious issues, though, the new Doctor2me service can save a trip to Urgent Care! In the meantime, we’re always on the lookout for the latest Disney news, so stay tuned for more!
