WHEN Mickey’s Toontown Will CLOSE to Be Reimagined in Disneyland

There have been quite a few changes to popular Disneyland rides over the past year!

The parks reopened with the debut of the reimagined ride, Snow White’s Enchanted Wish, and later both Jungle Cruise and Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin received updates to their storylines. But, there are more changes coming soon! At the end of 2021, Disney announced that they would be reimagining Mickey’s Toontown in early 2022 and now we have a DATE that the closure will begin!

Today, Disney announced that Mickey’s Toontown will close on March 9th, 2022 as they begin work on brand new attractions, activities, and entertainment.

Currently, the closure is projected to last through 2023, though Disney hasn’t yet revealed a date for its reopening.

Toontown will be closing soon!

So, what will the extended closure bring to the fan-favorite land? Well, Mickey’s Toontown will be bigger than ever before and will feature what will be known as CenTOONial Park which includes a new fountain with water tables for kids to play in and a “dreaming tree” playset that is inspired by a tree in Walt Disney’s hometown.

Plus, the land will also feature the brand new attraction — Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway — along with the reimagination of Gadget’s Go Coaster, Goofy’s House, and Donald’s Boat.

So, be sure to head over to Mickey’s Toontown before March 9th if you’re hoping to experience it one last time before it closes! And, stay tuned to AllEars for more of the latest Disney news and updates!
