As the situation with COVID-19 continues to change and develop, AllEars will be bringing you the latest relevant news that could affect a theme park visit.
Health and safety measures have changed frequently in the Disney parks, so we do our best to let you know about those changes ASAP.
With the end of California’s indoor mask mandate, we expected to see some changes to the face mask policies in Disneyland. Now those changes have been confirmed.
Beginning February 17th, 2022, face masks will no longer be required for fully vaccinated guests at most indoor locations in Disneyland. Note that masks are also not required for guests in outdoor areas.
Face masks will still be required for all guests on Disney transportation, including shuttles and the Monorail, and at certain other indoor areas like First Aid stations.
Disney World is also making this change, which will go into effect on February 17th as well. Universal Orlando made the same adjustment earlier this month.
Disneyland’s website has updated their face mask policy. It now reads, “Beginning February 17, 2022, face coverings are required for unvaccinated Guests (ages 2 and older) in all indoor locations, including throughout indoor attractions and indoor queues. Face coverings are required for all Guests, regardless of vaccination status, in certain indoor settings including Disney shuttles and in health settings, such as in First Aid. Face coverings are optional for Guests in outdoor areas.”
If you’re visiting Disneyland soon, you’ll still want to pack a few face masks for the airport (face masks are required in airports and on airplanes) and on Disney transportation.
