Tim Allen to Star in New ‘Santa Clause’ Series for Disney+

When you think of holiday movies, you probably have a few favorites that come to mind.

Whether you grew up in the 90s or not, The Santa Clause has been a holiday movie classic since it was released in 1994. And now after two sequels, Disney made an announcement that has our inner child screaming.

As reported by D23, Disney+ announced earlier today that The Santa Clause will be released as a limited series! WHAT! Tim Allen will reprise his role as Scott Calvin/Santa Claus as he contemplates his future as the Christmas icon.

According to D23, the series will be set after The Santa Clause film trilogy, in which Scott Calvin is about to turn 65 and decides to look for a Santa Claus replacement. If you remember, Scott eventually had two kids, and he wants to look toward life beyond the North Pole!

This project will be executive produced by showrunner Jack Burditt (known for 30 Rock, Modern Family, and more), as well as by Tim Allen, Kevin Hench (Last Man Standing), Richard Baker, and Rick Messina. Production is currently scheduled to begin in March 2022.
