NEWS: Florida Tourism Tops Pre-Pandemic Levels For First Time in 2021

We’re slowly starting to see things return to normal in the tourism industry, especially in Central Florida.

Health and safety measures are diminishing and capacities at theme parks are increasing. We’re starting to see more and more guests return to Florida, and the latest tourism numbers are looking much better!

According to the Orlando Sentinel, Visit Florida has released the third quarter tourism numbers for the state, and they’re an improvement from the same time period in the state in 2019.

Between July 1st and September 30th, Florida had an estimated total of 32.517 million tourists, which is 0.3% higher than the Q3 total from 2019. Visit Florida also anticipates these numbers to increase in the coming months as the borders have been reopened and international travelers look to visit the U.S. again.

In the first nine months of the year, Visit Florida recorded a total of 91.484 million visitors. This is a significant improvement from the first nine months of 2020 when the state had only 60.213 million due to the pandemic. A total of 88.44 million of this year’s tourists have come from other parts of the United States.
