PHOTOS: Ceiling Leak Leads to Disney World Lounge Closure

Despite Disney World being a well-oiled machine, breakdowns and closures happen. Whether it’s a ride breaking down or a restaurant needing to temporarily shut down, there are sometimes hiccups in the otherwise smooth operation of Disney World.

Today, we’ve got an update on the ceiling breakage and closure that happened at Disney’s Contemporary Resort.

The Outer Rim is closed today due to a ceiling leak and breakage above Outer Rim’s seating area. We noticed that more panels had been removed since yesterday.

Yesterday, we got a closer look at the situation and saw that there was some kind of leak from the ceiling and that the ceiling panels were being removed or fell in response to the leak.

UPDATE: Outer Rim has since reopened for seating as of November 8th. The bar is planning to open later today to guests.

While we were there, we noticed that the areas of solid ceiling were freshly painted after the previous issues.
