Pin Trading is Getting A 50th Anniversary Upgrade in Disney World

There are so many new and exciting offerings for the 50th Anniversary in Disney World!

So many new and exciting things for the 50th Anniversary!

We’ve got special decorations, new fireworks shows, and lots of delicious snacks. And now, a classic Disney activity is getting an upgrade in honor of the occasion!

Disney World announced today that beginning October 15th, new ways to pin trade will be introduced to the theme parks and resorts. First up, they’re introducing new Mickey-shaped pin boards at select locations!

These boards work as usual, but with a fun new design in honor of our favorite mouse. How festive!

You can also experience the new Mystery Trading Boxes at various locations. With these, you’ll walk up to the board and let the Cast Member know which drawer you’d like to choose, labeled 1-24. Then the Cast Member will open the drawer and present you with the mystery pin in exchange for your pin!

Both of these new offerings are available at locations around the four parks, the resorts, and Disney Springs. To make them easier to find, they’re marked on guide maps of the resort.

Also, be on the lookout for special 50th Anniversary pins that will be released throughout the 18-month celebration! And if you’re interested, make sure to check out the upcoming virtual pin trading event — Disney Parks Disney Heroes vs. Villains Digital Pin Experience.
