In Shanghai, typhoons are a frequent occurrence this time of year and Shanghai Disney Resort has plenty of policies and plans for when they happen.

Today, we got news about an upcoming typhoon and Shanghai Disney’s response.
Shanghai Disney Resort will be closing its doors temporarily due to the incoming typhoon on Monday, September 13th and Tuesday, September 14th. This means that Shanghai Disneyland, Disneytown, and Wishing Star Park will all be closed for the start of this week.

So, if you were planning to head over to Shanghai Disney Resort on either of those days, you can now visit the park any time in the next six months and use the ticket you already bought. No additional reservations will be required.

If you don’t want to visit the park anymore, then you can get a refund within the next 45 days. If you bought your tickets on the Shanghai Disneyland website, Shanghai Disneyland app, WeChat, or Fliggy or JD flagship stores, you can get your refund through the Shanghai Disneyland App. Refunds are also available via phone.

Shanghai Disney Resort is currently celebrating its Year of Magical Surprises in honor of its five-year anniversary. The festivities include new costumes, merchandise, and a new nighttime show.
