We’ve had a lot happening in the Disney Parks recently with spring break in Disney World, Disneyland’s official opening announcement, and more!

But, the celebrations don’t stop there because there’s a big anniversary coming up soon!

In honor of its 5th anniversary, Shanghai Disney Resort will be putting on a HUGE celebration to commemorate the occasion! A “Year of Magical Surprises!” is kicking off on April 8th with “exclusive experiences and sensational surprises” around the parks, hotels, Disneytown, and more.

At night, guests can watch “ILLUMINATE! A Nighttime Celebration,” along with an anniversary-themed overlay to Mickey’s Storybook Express pre-parade. Anniversary decorations will line Mickey Avenue with a new soundtrack that will make guests fall in love with the magic all over again.

You can spot limited-edition souvenirs in the stores, along with a fifth anniversary makeover on the two resorts and Disneytown. Popular Disney characters will greet everyone with rare friends that will join them. And, an all-new Surprise Squad made of Cast Members will pop up with fun souvenirs and opportunities to the Disney “Surprise!” Show for a chance to win VIP treatment and more prizes!
