PHOTOS & VIDEOS: We’re at the First Night of Disneyland’s Oogie Boogie Bash!

Halloweentime has officially made its way to Disneyland Resort!

Happy Halloween from Disneyland!

We’ve already brought you a look at all of the Halloween treats, merchandise (including a NEW popcorn bucket), decorations, and entertainment available throughout the day in Disneyland. But, now it’s time to head to the limited-ticketed event Oogie Boogie Bash — and we’re bringing you along with us!

This year, Oogie Boogie Bash will take place in Disney California Adventure on 25 select nights (between September 9th to October 31st) from 6PM to 11PM. And, the events may just be starting, but tickets have already completely sold out for every night.

So, with a few more hours until the party begins, we’re headed into Disney California Adventure!

Atmosphere

Guests who purchase Oogie Boogie Bash tickets are able to enter Disney California Adventure as early as 3PM without a separate day ticket or Park Pass Reservation, and that’s when we arrived!

We’re Here!

Once we made our way into the park, we picked up an Oogie Boogie Bash Park Map to be sure we didn’t miss any of the special activities, treats, and merchandise available throughout the night.

Maps!

When it comes to crowds, things were already getting pretty crowded before the event even started!

As soon as we got in, things were pretty crowded!

It was crowded right from the start!

However, each guest got a tote to fill up with candy…

A tote!

…and a wristband!

Stylish!

The groups that were in the park for the event were pretty easy to pick out because they were dressed up in their Halloween best! This is one of the only times that Disney permits costumes for all ages (though there are some rules) and it can be fun to see what everyone has chosen to dress up as.

People were in their spooky season best!

Lines for the Interactive Treat Trails were particularly long, especially since those are a highlight of Oogie Boogie Bash!

Treat Trail lines were very long!

Interactive Treat Trails

Now, it wouldn’t be Halloween without some trick-or-treating, and at Oogie Boogie Bash, Disney hosts several Interactive Treat Trails for guests to check out.

A Treat Trail Sign!

The interactive treat trails this year feature Mars Wrigley confectionery products all distributed along trails with Halloween music, decor, and, of course, Disney villains! You can also stop by Treat Stops to grab candy!

Over at the Redwood Creek Trail, you can find the Evil Queen from Snow White!

You can also spot the Mad Hatter from the live-action version of Alice in Wonderland!

We’re all mad down here!

And, this year, there are THREE new villains that you can spot on select trails including Sid from Toy Story, Cruella, and Agatha from WandaVision. Sid will appear at Pixar Pier near Toy Story Mania!

Over at Avengers Campus, in the Doctor Strange section, you can find Agatha Harkness from Wandavision, who’s a new character this year!

The third new villain at Oogie Boogie Bash this year is Cruella! Complete with a collection of her designs, graffiti, and a throne, Cruella has come to Disney California Adventure in style!

Cruella was really putting on a show during the Bash, complete with rockin’ music!

Of course, you can’t have an Oogie Boogie Bash without the man himself!

We also found some villains from Robin Hood, including the Sheriff of Nottingham…

…and Prince John looking angrily regal.

And as we made our way around the park, we also found Pain from Hercules (where’s Panic?)…

…the god of the Underworld himself, Hades…

…and Megara, our favorite snarky heroine.

If you find yourself in need of some food during the event, TWO dining packages have returned as an add-on during Oogie Boogie Bash this year including the Wine Country Trattoria Oogie Boogie Bash Parade Dining and Sonoma Terrace Oogie Boogie Bash Dessert Party.

Over at the Sonoma Terrace Oogie Boogie Bash Dessert Party, there were a variety of desserts and cocktails!

The Menu!

Of course, we got ALL the desserts, along with a Festive Fall Punch, which has Pineapple Juice, Orange Juice, Cranberry Juice, and Sprite!

Yum!

During the festivities, we also stopped by Flo’s V8 Café and grabbed Gravy Fries, which include Chicken Strips, Gravy, and Cheese Curds…

After shopping, we took a stroll to admire the Oogie Boogie Bash setting. We loved how Carthay Circle was lit up with spooky colors, along with the trees.

So spooky

And as we left the event, we had to snap a pic of the iconic Oogie Boogie decorations at night above the DCA gates. Look how it glows!
