PHOTOS: Here’s What Labor Day Weekend Crowds Look Like in Disney World

Now that summer is over and school is back in session, we’ve all been waiting for a little bit of a break with the holiday weekend!

While the CDC has provided recommendations to be as cautious as possible, there is still plenty of travel happening at the busy Orlando airports. We’re giving you a look at the crowds we spotted around the parks during Labor Day Weekend!

When we first made our way into Hollywood Studios for the day, the lines to enter the park weren’t too long.

Spots like Tower of Terror had no wait right after park opening…

…but other attractions like Rock ‘N Roller Coaster had already jumped to a 40 minute wait.

Some areas were still quiet as the morning began in Hollywood Studios…

…including the area near Walt Disney Presents.

But, Toy Story Land was already VERY busy by 10:30AM, as Slinky Dog Dash had a 70 minute wait…

…and Alien Swirling Saucers had a 40 minute wait.

Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge was also on the popular side with Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run sitting at a 60 minute wait…

…as lots of people also checked out the shops in the Marketplace.

Still, there were some shorter wait times around Hollywood Studios during Labor Day! At around 11AM, MuppetVision 3D only had a 10 minute wait…

…and Star Tours only had a 25 minute wait.

Yet, when noon rolled around, the crowds began to pick up a lot more.

The crowds were definitely much higher this weekend in the park than we have seen at any other point the past few weeks.

Although the lines haven’t usually extended beyond the queue, many of the attractions around Hollywood Studios were experiencing that this weekend.

Once the afternoon swung around, the crowds only continued to pick up.

Magic Kingdom

Magic Kingdom was also looking busier than we’ve seen it recently, with crowds gathering not long after the park opened for the day.

Over in Tomorrowland, Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin was already at 40 minutes…

…Astro Orbiter was at 35 minutes…

…and Space Mountain was at 50 minutes by 11AM.

There were also a few shorter wait times around the area, though, as the Tomorrowland Speedway…

…and Goofy’s Barnstormer all only sat at 5 minutes.

But, Fantasyland’s most popular ride — Seven Dwarfs Mine Train  — had already reached 80 minutes by 11:30AM.

Close by, The Journey of the Little Mermaid…

…and PhilharMagic were only at 15 minutes…

…while the Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh was at 30 minutes.

Still, by 12:30PM, many of the attractions around the parks started to see prolonged wait times.

…Big Thunder Mountain Railroad sat at a 30 minute wait…

…and Pirates of the Caribbean climbed to a 50 minute wait in the afternoon.

When we made our way to EPCOT at nearly 2 PM, it was quieter than we expected at the attractions during the peak time of the day. Spaceship Earth had a 5 minute wait…

…Mission Space sat at a 10 minute wait for the Green Team and 30 minutes for the Orange Team…

…and Test Track only had a 45 minute wait…

However, near 3 PM, Frozen Ever After had a really long line…

…and the end of the line extended all the way to China!

Other spots still had shorter waits like Journey into Imagination at 15 minutes…

If you’re wondering where the crowds were located, though, MANY people were making their way around the World Showcase to visit the Food & Wine Festival booths.

The Mexico Booth had a long wait…

…that extended pretty far down.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom

There weren’t a lot of people at the ticket booths for Animal Kingdom…

…but the crowd at the front entrance had a lot more people than we’ve been seeing lately.

At 8:40AM, the line for Avatar Flight of Passage extended all the way to Harambe by Festival of the Lion King.

The other Pandora attraction, Na’vi River Journey, had a 25 minute wait.

As of 9:20 AM, Kilimanjaro Safaris was at 25 minutes.

At 10:50AM, It’s Tough to Be a Bug was 10 minutes.

A little later, Expedition Everest’s wait was 25 minutes.

While the crowds were not the worst we’ve seen, it was noticeably more busy than it has been recently.

By Discovery Island, the area was pretty packed this afternoon…

…while other areas were crowded too, but a bit more manageable.

And by the Tree of Life, the crowd seemed to thin out a little.
