BREAKING: Holiday Celebrations Will Return to Disneyland Resort

The holiday season will be here in a few short months, and we’re excited to check out all that it has to offer Disney fans!

Who’s ready for Christmas?!

Walt Disney World Resort has already announced a whole host of celebrations, from the Festival of the Holidays at EPCOT to the Very Merriest After Hours at Magic Kingdom. But what about Disneyland Resort? Well, today we got all the details on the exciting offerings coming soon!

Are you ready to get festive? If so, you’ll be happy to know that the holiday season at Disneyland Resort will kick off on November 12th and last all the way until January 9th, 2022. Several fan-favorite traditions are returning, along with some new fun for the season!

We’re ready to see it done up for the holidays!

Starting off at Disneyland Park, guests will enjoy the massive decorations of the 60 ft tall Christmas tree on Main Street, U.S.A., along with the holiday additions to the park’s icon, transforming it into Sleeping Beauty’s Winter Castle. Multiple times a day, “A Christmas Fantasy” Parade will run throughout the park, plus guests will be able to greet their favorite characters (donning their holiday best) in various locations.

At the end of the day, the Believe in Holiday Magic fireworks show will light up the night, complete with projections on “it’s a small world” and projections AND “snowfall” on Main Street, U.S.A. As you leave the park, you’ll be able to wave goodbye to several Disney characters, dressed in their pajamas and standing on the balcony of the Disneyland Railroad Train Station in Town Square.

Hey Mickey!

And in addition to those celebrations, make sure to ride Haunted Mansion and “it’s a small world” during your visit! Both rides will have holiday transformations for the season.

But the fun doesn’t stop there — at Disney California Adventure there will be plenty to celebrate during the Disney Festival of Holidays. Here, guests can savor the sounds and tastes of the season with eight food marketplaces highlighting holidays like Christmas/Navidad, Diwali, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, and Three Kings Day.

For entertainment, Disney characters host a street party in Disney ¡Viva Navidad!, featuring Mickey and Minnie, as well as Mexican folklórico dancers, Mariachis, Brazilian samba dancers, percussionists, and giant mojiganga puppets.

In Paradise Gardens, guests can greet Mirabel from the upcoming Disney animated film, Encanto, starting later in the season. You’ll also be able to check out live music and performers, along with themed food and beverage options both there and at Pacific Wharf. Also in Pacific Wharf, young guests can try out the craft stations and cookie decorating kits!

Heading on over to Radiator Springs, Cars Land will once again be decked out from top to bottom in holiday decorations. Two attractions will get holiday changes as well, becoming Luigi’s Joy to the Whirl and Mater’s Jingle Jamboree.

It’ll be all decked out for the holidays.

And finally, Santa Claus will be available to meet at his home on the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail. Plus, to top it all off, Mickey Mouse and friends will host a fun party where they dance along with the Holiday Toy Drummers several times a day.
