We are only one week out from the grand opening of Avengers Campus in Disneyland!
On June 4th, the gates to the brand new land will open for guests to become the newest Avengers recruits. There will be new eats and drinks, new character interactions, and even a new ride that transport you into the iconic Marvel movies. And, if you’re hoping to try your hand at slinging webs like Spider-Man, then you’ll need to know about the new virtual queue.
The new interactive ride, WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure will take guests along on a journey through the city to help Spider-Man catch rogue Spider-Bots. And, similar to the attraction Rise of the Resistance in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, the ride will utilize a virtual queue in which you need to secure a boarding group in order to ride.
The virtual queue will open up twice a day at 7AM and 12PM in the Disneyland app, so those will be your only two chances to claim a spot on the ride.
Only guests who have a valid park ticket and park pass reservation for Disney California Adventure will be able to enroll from anywhere (even outside of the park) during the 7AM boarding group window. And, those guests, along with those who have a Park Hopper Ticket, will be able to try for a boarding group at 12PM. Just keep in mind that you will have to already have entered either Disney California Adventure or Disneyland Park for the noon enrollment time.
And, you’re going to have to make some tough choices when it comes to the popular rides in Disneyland. According to Disney’s website, you cannot have a boarding group for BOTH Rise of the Resistance and WEB SLINGERS at the same time.
So, be sure that you’ve got your Disneyland tickets and park passes linked to your Disneyland app, set your alarms for the two boarding group windows, and get ready to sling those rogue spider-bots! And, stay tuned for more Disney news and updates!
