As the situation with vaccines and the COVID-19 pandemic has developed, we’ve seen some changes announced by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, governments, businesses, and more.

Earlier today, the CDC changed its mask guidance for those who are fully vaccinated, and now the White House has issued a statement in response.
Recently, The White House posted a message via Twitter about the new CDC guidelines. The image in the message from The White House reads “New CDC Guidance: Fully Vaccinated People Can Stop Wearing Masks.”
In the actual Tweet, the White House notes that if you’re fully vaccinated you don’t need to wear a mask indoors or outdoors in most settings according to the CDC.
Big news from the CDC: If you’re fully vaccinated, you do not need to wear a mask – indoors or outdoors, in most settings.

The CDC website now reflects the updated mask guidelines for those who are fully vaccinated. Those guidelines indicate that fully vaccinated people “no longer need to wear a mask or physically distance in any setting,” with a few exceptions.

Also according to the CDC website, it is no longer recommend that fully vaccinated people wear masks outdoors in crowds.

Fully vaccinated individuals may also be indoors without a mask at smaller gatherings, movie theaters, and more.

Keep in mind that Disney continues to require all guests, including those who are fully vaccinated, to wear masks in the parks.
We’ll keep an eye out for more updates and let you know what we see.

I 100% support Disney giving “wrist bands” to those who provide their vaccine documentation and letting them freely roam unmasked throughout the park. Those without the wrist band should continue to mask. (Ok, ok….I actually support lifting all mask mandates, but if not, this is the best idea.)
I don’t see this working since the vaccines are still not given to those under 12. Maybe later in the summer or fall when the vaccines are approved for everybody. Still, there will be people who will try to fake a wristband when not vaccinated.
