NEWS: Disney Confirms Face Masks Will Still Be Required for Those With COVID-19 Vaccine

With the COVID-19 vaccine starting to roll out across the nation, many may be wondering when a loosening of face mask policies could possibly occur. While there are studies currently being done to examine the efficacy of the vaccine in regards to face mask wearing, businesses as well as local, state, and federal government appear to be in agreement that for now, face mask requirements are to remain in place.

To double down on this, Disney World has updated the wording on their website to specify that face masks will continue to be required.

Disney’s website now specifies that even once you receive the COVID-19 vaccine, you must still wear a face mask at all times. Specifically, the website states, “Face coverings are required for all Guests (ages 2 and up) and Cast Members, including those who have received a COVID-19 vaccine.”

Disney World’s other face mask policies remain in place at this time, including being required to be stationary when eating and drinking, as well as Disney’s stipulations over what is considered a proper face covering.

    1. Because 1) the vaccine will minimize effects of the virus for you, but you could still carry it and pass it to others and 2) it would be a nightmare for them to know and enforce.

    2. To be with family who has also been vaccinated and not wear a mask. Like Grandparents. But those are our reasons others are different. We hoping that the mask thing gets lifted this Summer at Disney.
