Recreating Disney recipes is a tasty way to bring the parks home with you!

And this Big Thunder Ribs recipe from the Disney Parks Cooking Up The Magic collection will transport you right back to Big Thunder Ranch Barbecue at Disneyland Resort!
Big Thunder Ranch Barbecue closed in 2016 to make room for Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge, so visiting this beloved BBQ joint is no longer an option. But, this rib recipe is the perfect way to have a cowboy-approved feast right at home!
Ingredients:
- 2 1/2 tablespoons lemon pepper
- 2 tablespoons seasoning salt
- 2 tablespoons paprika
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground cumin
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1/4 tablespoon cayenne pepper
- 1 (4-pound) rack pork spareribs, trimmed of excess fat
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 cup favorite barbecue sauce
Directions:
1. Combine the lemon pepper, seasoning salt, paprika, sugar, brown sugar, cumin, chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper in a medium bowl to create the Citrus Roundup BBQ Rub. Stir to combine, and set aside
2. Sprinkle the Citrus Roundup BBQ Rub on both sides of the ribs, massaging the meat to adhere. Cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate for 8 hours or up to overnight
3. Preheat the oven to 350º. Place ribs in a roasting pan or on a baking sheet, and pour water into the pan. Cover with foil and roast for 1 hour
4. Remove the pan from the oven and uncover. Pour off any excess water. Evenly coat the top of the ribs with your favorite barbecue sauce. Return pan to oven and roast for 30 minutes more
5. Remove the pan from the oven and cover lightly with foil. Let the ribs rest for 10 minutes to preserve their juiciness
6. Slice ribs between each bone with a serrated knife. Serve immediately with more barbecue sauce for dipping!
