Believe it or not, Disney California Adventure opened in 2001, meaning that it’s turning 20 this year!
The park has been closed since March but reopened Buena Vista Street a few months ago as an extension to the Downtown Disney District. Currently, only select stores and dining are open for limited shopping during the day. But, you bet Disney will still be celebrating the park’s milestone!
In honor of the 20th anniversary of Disney California Adventure Park, Disney announced that it will be releasing commemorative items soon! The news of the new collection came with a variety of other Disneyland Resort announcements so not much is known about the collection quite yet.
What we do know is that the limited assortment of merchandise will include t-shirts with the anniversary logo and a few other items! The logo, as seen above, features some of the park icons including the Pixar Pal-A-Round wheel, Mickey and Minnie riding the trolley, and structures from the different lands in the park.
The collection will be available at World of Disney and Elias and Co. beginning February 8th (the day California Adventure opened in 2001) for a limited time. We’ll keep an eye out for more updates around Disneyland Resort so stay tuned!
