News: The Hall of Presidents is Closed for Refurbishment in Disney World

The Hall of Presidents in the Magic Kingdom is a historical presentation featuring audio-animatronics and multi-media effects.

Every past and present United States President is represented with an animatronic in the attraction. The show concludes with the current sitting president and George Washington giving a speech. As of today, January 20th, the Hall of Presidents is closed for refurbishment.

The animatronic representing the current president is voiced by the real person. In years past, the attraction has closed following a new president taking office. As Joe Biden takes office, the attraction is likely closing to prepare to add him to the attraction. An animatronic of the new president is created. Voiceover is also recorded by the new president as well.

As of right now, the refurbishment closure is scheduled through April 3rd, 2021. This date is subject to change and we’ll continue to update you with any new information we learn.
