Recently, we learned that the Morocco Pavilion in EPCOT would fully transition its ownership from the Moroccan Embassy and the Morocco Tourism Board to Disney. The transition was set to be completed by the end of the year, but the exact details of how this would change the Pavilion, if at all, had yet to be seen.

We also noticed that one of the Pavilion’s Table Service restaurants, Spice Road Table, would not be taking any Advance Dining Reservations past December 10th, which led us to wonder what was in store for the dining location.
While the restaurant is currently closed, we noticed that it had posted hours of 12PM-9PM on Sunday, December 13th. The available hours continue through the end of the calendar, which is currently listed through February 18th.

But that’s not the only thing we noticed. We took a look at the menu and saw that it has shifted over from regular appetizer and entree service to a “Lounge Menu” entirely comprised of Mediterranean Small Plates. Their wide selection of wines, sangrias, and signature beverages are still on the menu.

Many of its popular dishes can still be found in small plate form, including their Hummus Fries, Fried Calamari, and Grilled Lamb Kefta. Their food offerings have, however, been reduced from what the menu was before the temporary closure.

We’ll be sure to keep a close watch on Spice Road Table in the coming days, and will continue to be on the lookout for the latest news coming out of the Morocco Pavilion!
