Walt Disney Animation Studios Announces 'Encanto!' — Its 60th Feature Film featuring Music from Lin Manuel Miranda!

It’s pretty exciting when we get the news of a new Disney film!

We’re tuned in to the Walt Disney investor day to bring you all the coverage and big news from this event. Now, Disney CEO Bob Chapek has just announced a new upcoming film!

Walt Disney Animation Studios started making feature films all the way back with Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. More recently, we love them for films like Moana and Frozen. A new film has been added to the line-up for Walt Disney Animation Studios — Encanto!

Encanto is the story of a magical family from Colombia where one daughter does not have magical powers like her relatives. It is set to be directed by Byron Howard and Jared Bush with music by Lin-Manuel Miranda and screenplay by Charise Castro-Smith.

This film will be the next in line to be released after Raya and the Last Dragon releases on March 21st, 2021 (You can check out the trailer right here!).
