We love a surprise character spotting in Disney World!
Disney World reopened with unique character experiences throughout the parks. We’ve seen Mickey and Minnie taking a ride on the Main Street Trolley, Elsa and Anna in a Character Promenade, and even Santa on a boat! It was reported earlier that characters would start making appearances at the resorts. Today, we encountered a surprise entrance from two of our favorite characters!
How cute!! Pluto and Goofy came out to play today! The two made a brief appearance from the balcony of Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. The lovable pups arrived without notice and waved to their adoring fans in the lobby.
Pluto was playing along by hiding behind the balcony handrail and Goofy was making the crowd giggle, of course. We’re not sure if they will come back today, but it gave a small group of guests a smile and they really enjoyed the moment!
It’s times like this that we’re reminded of the magic of Disney. Even with the recent theme park changes, Disney is adding special moments to the guest experiences.
We were surprised by the arrival of the classic and beloved characters from our childhood and it truly made our day! We’ll let you know if any more spontaneous character greets pop up in the future.

Cute, but too little too late. Bring back the Grand Floridian Orchestra, the fresh flowers, and shuttered restaurants, (not to mention Mizner’s), then we’ll talk!
