NEWS! 'Ratatouille: The TikTok Musical' is Coming to a Computer Screen Near You!

TikTok brought together users to create a musical based on Pixar’s Ratatouille.

What started as one cute video turned into an epic collaboration between musical artists and creatives. Members of the community created snippets of songs and together they imagined their own musical version of the movie. Their hard work paid off because the full show is getting its own filmed concert version!

Playbill noted that the professional theatre company Seaview Productions will film and premiere the Ratatouille: The TikTok Musical. The show will debut via TodayTix on January 1st at 7 PM ET. All proceeds will benefit The Actors Fund.

Once the song “Ode to Remy” was written by user @e_jaccs, a new musical was born. One of the main writers, Daniel Mertzlufft, is a New York Composer and Writer. His songs are inspired by Alan Menken’s compositions from Beauty and the Beast and The Little Mermaid. After the initial songs, more TikTok users pitched in and created more songs.
