When Disney revamps old shows and movies, it feels like we’re reliving our childhoods again!
Although we could spend HOURS watching Disney Channel Original Movies (DCOM), the TV channel is also a great spot to watch new and old shows that the whole family will enjoy. But, we’ve got a bit of a bummer for all you DuckTales fans out there.
According to Collider, DuckTales will be seeing its final season on the Disney Channel. While the show isn’t being canceled per se, according to the report, the show has run its course with an ending slated for 2021.
In September 2019, the creators behind the show were notified that DuckTales would be ending as they finished created the last batches of episodes. The show itself has run with a pretty solid number of episodes as the past Christmas special aired on November 30th as the 65th episode.
Many Disney Channel Original series will see the end of their show around this point (like our beloved Gravity Falls). Since DuckTales can currently run each weekday for 13 weeks without repeating an episode, there is still plenty of stories left for guests before it ends in 2021.
Currently, the DuckTales World Showcase Adventure has still been announced for EPCOT. We will be sure to update if the news on the television show ends up impacting the attraction’s future.

So incredibly bummed about this news. Ducktales is a favorite of young and old in our house. It’s such a smart and funny show, I can’t believe they want to cancel it. Hopefully they will change their minds and keep it going. We were really excited about the Epcot scavenger hunt next year.
