I was trying to purchase a Minnie Mouse Main Attraction Jungle Cruise backpack at 9:50amET on Nov 25th – the day it became available at the ShopDisney store. I was put into a virtual waiting room for around 40 minutes, and by the time it was “my turn,” the item that I had wanted to buy was already sold out! Then I looked online only to discover that many people were already selling those same items on Ebay or Mercari for over double the price. Some sellers had multitudes to sell – like 5 backpacks available at $170 each. The photos on some sites looked like they were taken right at the Disney park. So can anyone please explain what this is all about? Why would Disney taunt their customers with such an unfair system that delights only a few money-motivated individuals? It surely sucks the “Magic” right out of true enthusiasts.
