There’s so much to celebrate when it comes to Disney right now! While the holidays have kicked off in the parks currently, Disney World’s 50th anniversary will also be taking place in just a few short months in 2021.
But, you can also celebrate a classic Disney film in a unique way if you plan on jet setting around the world soon!
Japan Airlines (AKA JAL) is celebrating Fantasia’s 80th anniversary in a way like no other! The airline has commemorated its partnership with Disney by decorating one of its planes in honor of Fantasia with flights available now in Japan!
The JAL Dream Express Fantasia 80 has placed a themed design over a Boeing 767-300ER with Sorcerer Mickey, enchanted broomsticks, and the film logo. The place took its inaugural flight today, November 18th, on Mickey and Minnie’s 92nd birthday! Plus, Fantasia also debuted only 5 days earlier on November 13th in 1940.
The headrests on the plane’s seats are decked out in a bit of Disney magic to match the JAL Dream Express Fantasia 80’s theme…
…while guests traveling will receive a limited-edition cup that will be rotated on different flights!
Although we’d love to see this plane flying everywhere, the JAL Dream Express Fantasia 80 will only be flying domestically in Japan through March 2022. The plane will be stationed at Tokyo’s Haneda Airport with flights going to the Osaka-Itami, Fukuoka, Naha, and Sapporo-New Chitose Airports.
We’re so impressed by how amazing the JAL Dream Express Fantasia 80 looks, and we can’t wait to see what other designs Japan Airlines continues to release with Disney! We’ll keep you updated on all the other Disney news that you need to know too!
