Last week, we said his name three times and a brand new Beetlejuice room appeared in Universal Orlando.

Upon exploring the room, I realized something terrifying (more terrifying than the snake even)…
I have never seen Beetlejuice!
(Gasp.) When I got home, I immediately rectified the situation, and it got me thinking: I wonder what iconic movies our followers have never seen??
So I asked them on Instagram! And some of the answers…were VERY surprising!

Here are the most shocking movies you admitted you’ve never seen!
Titanic
The number one answer was Titanic! This is SHOCKING considering it was the highest grossing film in the world for TWELVE years! How have so many of you not seen this epic masterpiece?

Is it the length? Not into romance slash disaster movies? Don’t want to watch Leonardo die? Sick of “My Heart Will Go On”?
We’re not going to let this go.
Star Wars
A LOT of you fessed up to never having seen a single Star Wars! I was more shocked than Luke when he found out who his father was.

To be fair — I hadn’t seen them until my mid-20’s when my now-husband forced me. I didn’t grow up with them and then was too intimidated by the scope and scale of the saga to start on my own.
Maybe all of you feel the same? I say — grab a family member who knows what’s going on, and dig in. They’re delightful! It helps to make up names to keep all the characters straight. Or feel free to use mine: Princess Cinna-bun, Indiana Jones, Space Mufasa, Blue Robot, Gold Robot, and Big Furry Bear.
Sound of Music
It’s one thing not to want to watch a multi chapter Space Opera or tragic tale of a boat sinking, but THE SOUND OF MUSIC?! I will Climb Every Mountain and shout from the hills about this one.

Julie Andrews is perfect, and this is a timeless classic for a reason.
It’s on Disney+ so there are really no excuses. (Looking at you, Morgan, my dear friend and our news editor who was one of the people who submitted this one.)
Jurassic Park
Steven Spielberg. John Williams. Dinosaurs. Jeff Goldblum. This is perfect cinema.

This is one of the AllEars team favorites so we HIGHLY recommend a viewing ASAP!
The Princess Bride
People haven’t seen this movie?!

It’s on Disney+ as well, so pop some popcorn and get ready to visit the Fire Swamp!
Harry Potter
Lots of you fessed up to never having sat through the saga of the Boy Who Lived.

To be fair — it’s quite a commitment to get through all 8 films –1,178 minutes in fact. Plus the books are way better so if you’re gonna give it a whirl, we say read it first!
The Goonies
Another 80s classic several of you said you haven’t seen…

….it was me. I haven’t seen the Goonies. (Turns out I’m not alone.) Now that I’ve rectified the Beetle Juice issue, this is next on my list. Are you a fan?
Forrest Gump
Grab the tissues and buckle up for the tale of Forrest. It won Best Picture for a reason!

Did we say grab the tissues yet?
Hocus Pocus
When I heard there were people who haven’t seen Hocus Pocus:

No, no, I’m not here to judge. But it is the perfect time of year for your first Hocus Pocus viewing!
Wizard of Oz
WHAT. HOW. WHY.

I don’t even have a clever joke about this one.
Jaws
When I realize there’s people in the world who haven’t seen my favorite movie:

Dun, dun. Dun, dun. Something was clearly lurking beneath the surface of several of your souls, and it was your secret confession that you’ve never seen Jaws!
If you’re scared, it’s ok. You’re supposed to be. But the music! The acting! The drama! It’s a perfect film, and even people who aren’t obsessed with sharks (me) will enjoy it.
Send me a message on Instagram or drop a comment after you’ve watched and loved it.

I’ve never seen the Goonies either. I think it’s because I had it on while I was on the computer one time, and I kept having to turn it down because that one Asian kids voice was suuuuper screachy and annoying and he seemed to always be screaming. It was one of those moments where you finally flip out and grab the remote and turn the channel. lol To be fair, I did the same thing during the Moaning Myrtle scenes once, back before I had read the books or anything. I agree that you have to read the books first or Harry Potter will just be “meh” to you. An ex made me watch Sorcerer’s Stone once, and I couldn’t understand why anyone would want to watch that, let alone read about it. My exact words were, “This is like watching a Scooby Doo Mystery”. It really was. I was going to Universal, I had 5 weeks before my trip and Wizarding World was the newest thing. I decided I wanted to know what I was looking at so I read all 7 books as fast as I could! BEST thing I ever did! Sooo…at the end of Forbidden Journey guess who was crying and waving at the screen? ME!
I watched Goonies for the first time this year. I was shamed into it after my friends found out that I’ve just been pretending to “get” Goonies references my whole life. Oops.
I haven’t seen Mulan😳
Watch the original animated one. That’s all.
Bambi. Just can’t face it *sobs*
I have never seen Avatar.
You are not alone. Even after the awesome experience of walking through Pandora and riding a Banshee in Animal Kingdom, I couldn’t work up the desire to watch it when we got home.
I haven’t either. Solidarity!
Me neither! In fact no one in our family has seen Avatar and we don’t plan on it. Why watch James Cameron be self indulgent for 3 hours of your life when you can actually enjoy yourself in Pandora?!
