Disney World and Disneyland have a LOT of projects in the works over the next few years.

From the EPCOT Transformation to Avengers Campus, there are amazing lands, attractions, restaurants, and more that are in progress. However, a famous celebrity might have an idea for a brand new land that would pay homage to both Marvel’s Black Panther and Chadwick Boseman, the actor who played him.
This week, fans, friends, and family were devastated to learn of the passing of Chadwick Boseman during his years-long battle with colon cancer. Although Disney and ABC showcased a tribute to him last night, “The View” co-host Whoopi Goldberg thinks that the parks should actually bring Wakanda to life.

According to WESH 2 News, Whoopi has stated that Disney should build a Wakanda themed land in honor of Chadwick Boseman. She directed a tweet at the Disney company as they continue to make progress on new projects in the parks.
Dear People in charge of building NEW experiences Disney Land and World we don’t really need another Frozen land BUT what we could use is Wakonda, please Disneyworld Disneyland PLEASE build in Chadwick Boseman’s name WAKONDA

Although Disney hasn’t issued a response, Avengers Campus will include elements of Wakanda in the park. Guests will be able to directly interact with heroes from Wakanda, like King T’Challa, as well as see the Black Panther in action during the attractions around Avengers Campus.

While we are looking forward to the arrival of Avengers Campus soon, we can’t wait to see all the details of the Marvel Cinematic Universe that are included in the Disneyland park!

Disney has managed to sneak in some Marvel in Florida: First with some meet and greets, then with a show (the one based on Guardians of the Galaxy in EPCOT), then with an attraction (the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy coaster in EPCOT), so I wouldn’t be surprised if some sort of Marvel land wasn’t being thought about before covid hit. Wakanda may be the best bet since Universal didn’t use Black Panther in its Florida parks and that property may sneak through the legal cracks to allow it at Disney World. Not a lawyer, just speculating.
I would like to see a Wakanda land in Disney’s Animal Kingdom
We definitely need Wakandaland at Disney World in Florida. This should have nothing to do with the restrictions from Universal, and would be a welcome and timely addition to WDW. Sprinkle that pixie dust and create a special land!
